Roasted Hakurei Turnips and Radishes

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch Hakurei turnips
  • 1 bunch radishes
  • Olive oil

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 425F
  2. Scrub turnips and radishes
  3. Trim turnips, reserving the leaves
  4. Trim radishes (I think you can eat these leaves too but we just discard them)
  5. Halve the turnips and radishes.  For larger one you may need to quarter.  The idea is to have all the pieces relatively the same size so they cook evenly
  6. Toss with olive oil and place on baking sheet, with a flat side down
  7. Bake for about 15 minutes until the down side is golden brown
  8. Turn turnips and radishes, add leaves on top, and bake for another 5 minutes
